Description

The Yamaha AN1x is a analog physical modeling (virtual analog) synthesizer from around 1997. One of its more unique abilities for a VA synth, is that it's capable of FM synthesis, with 4 available algorithms, that can be applied to not only sine waves, but also to analog waveforms (saw, pulse, etc.), plus a few inner waveforms. 

We recorded all 128 custom programs we made so far, after buying it 10 months ago, and then cut out the ones that were too similar, for the demo video. The AN1x can create even more sounds, but we haven't had it long enough, at the time the video was made.

Many of the programs are single layer, and some programs may be similar sounding variations of each other (as seen in the video).

Installation

For most people, installation requires basic knowledge of sending sysex MIDI data to synthesizers. Either a sysex program or a sequencer can be used.
