Help and Frequently Asked Questions
Checkout FAQ
What do I need to place an order?
You need:
A way to pay with Paypal, with enough funds to cover the cost of your purchase.
A device with a web browser that can run Paypal correctly. Your device's web browser also needs to be able to correctly run Google Drive or Google Docs to receive your files.
What payment methods do you take?
Just Hardware Sound only takes Paypal at this time. Paypal is used for both your protection, and also ours.
Is checkout secure?
The only way to pay is using Paypal. The actual payment and checkout process is not done on this website, it is done on Paypal's website instead. Checkout on Paypal's website is as safe and secure as any other transaction performed on Paypal's website.
Return Policy FAQ
What is your return policy?
You are guaranteed to receive all of the files you paid for, but since these are intangible digital items, all sales are final. Please review the product details, the installation requirements, and the sound demo before ordering. Our full terms and conditions can be viewed here.

Installation
How do I unzip the downloaded files?
To unzip your downloaded files, you will need to enter the password that was provided with your download link. You can use a program like WinRAR to unzip the files.
What skills are required to install sound packs?
In general, you only need to know:
How to set up your computer and musical instrument to send or receive data via MIDI port, USB port, or removable media.
How to perform basic sending and receiving functions with your software and instrument.
No coding or programming knowledge is needed. A very small minority may need to refer to their owners' manual, as some settings in musical instruments may prevent data from being received, or they could prevent purchased sound packs from sounding correctly (like Mono-only mode being activated, etc).
How long does it take to install a sound pack?
If your computer and musical instrument are set up correctly, importing one of our sound packs into an instrument takes less than 5 minutes.
What programs do I need to install your sound packs?
This depends on your operating system and your musical instrument. Either the instrument manufacturer will provide you the firmware and drivers you will need, or you can download a MIDI SysEx program, like MIDI-OX, or a SysEx-capable sequencer, that will let you perform the needed tasks.
Do you provide an installation program with your sound packs?
No, but either the manufacturer will provide you the program you will need, or you can download a MIDI SysEx program, like MIDI-OX, or a SysEx-capable sequencer, that will let you perform the needed tasks.
My computer has problems running MIDI-OX, Korg Sound Librarian, etc. Can you help?
There are many factors that could prevent programs from running on some computers, while other computers will run those same programs readily. Make sure you have the latest software and drivers on your computer, your computer operating system is up-to-date, and that your instrument has the latest firmware. If that doesn't solve the problem, there could be a bug in the manufacturer's software or driver with your specific combination of hardware/software. Sometimes a MIDI/USB cable could be defective. Using a different computer will usually solve your problem.
